Helping a parent figure this out? You’re in the right place too — CoverageAlly agents work with sons and daughters every day.

“Why isn’t my medication covered?” — the question your doctor’s office can’t answer. Your CoverageAlly agent can.

When people call a CoverageAlly agent

The moments the program was built for.

“Why isn’t this covered?”

A medication, CGM, or piece of equipment your doctor ordered — denied or suddenly a problem. Your agent finds out why, and what to do about it.

A confusing bill or letter

A notice from your plan you can’t decode, a denial letter, an unexpected charge — translated into plain English, with next steps.

“Is my plan still right for me?”

Plans change every year — benefits, networks, drug lists. A review answers the question, and “keep what you have” is always on the table.

Benefits you already have

Cardiac rehab, CGMs, testing supplies, and more — often covered, often unused because the rules are confusing. Your agent walks you through it.

How it works

Simple on purpose. One conversation, built around your actual medications and doctors.

1. Reach out, your way

Call, text, or take the plan check-up on your agent’s page. Tell them what’s going on — a confusing bill, a prescription problem, or just “am I on the right plan?”

2. They review, plan-neutral

A review built around your exact medications and doctors. Every option explained in plain language — including the option of changing nothing.

3. You decide

No pressure, no obligation. Whatever you choose, you’ll understand your coverage — and you’ll have someone to call next time a question comes up.

The fine print, up front: before any specific plans are discussed, Medicare rules require a short signed form called a Scope of Appointment — it protects you by limiting the conversation to what YOU want to talk about. Your agent will explain it when you get there.

Fair questions, honest answers

Do I have to change my plan?

No — and often you shouldn’t. A good review frequently ends with “your plan is right, keep it.” That answer is worth having.

Will I get spam calls if I contact an agent?

No. Your information goes to your agent and only your agent — it is never sold or shared with lead companies. One local person, one number.

What if I’m helping my mom or dad?

Welcome — about half of these conversations start with an adult son or daughter. Your agent is happy to talk with you first, then include your parent when it’s time. (For plan decisions, your parent — or their power of attorney — makes the call.)

Are you affiliated with Medicare?

No. CoverageAlly agents are independent, licensed insurance agents. For help directly from the government, you can always use Medicare.gov, 1‑800‑MEDICARE, or your state’s SHIP counseling program — your agent will point you there themselves any time you ask.
